History

The company was founded in 1913 by Francesco Rigamonti; at that time he was the owner of a delicatessen-butcher's shop in the centre of Sondrio where, according to the local traditions, he used to prepare the most ancient symbol of the valley:
bresaola.
In the late fifties, encouraged by the increasing success the Rigamonti company decided to take a great step: to produce on a large scale. It turned out to be a brilliant choice that over the last decades has enabled the company to match modernity with tradition.
